Renovation works of Dhidhdhoo Football Stadium’s Fence handed over to Council

Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment has handed over the renovation of the Dhidhdhoo Football Stadium’s Fence to the Island Council.

Installation of the turf in Dhidhdhoo Football Stadium was completed in April this year.Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof has stated that although the work has been stalled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are satisfied with the speed at which the work has been carried out since then.

Moreover, according to the Youth Ministry, they have spent over MVR 7 million to build a subbase and a turf in the stadium. In addition, the stadium will have a lighting system, a rostrum and a stage upon completion of the stadium. And the stadium is developed to FIFA standards as per the Ministry.
