Outdoor Gym opened in Neykurendhoo

To mark the International Day of People with Special Needs an Outdoor Gym has been opened in HDh. Neykurendhoo.

According to the Vice President of Neykurendhoo Council Ali Adam, the gym was opened with the participation of people with special needs in the island. And the main purpose of opening such a facility is to help the people of the island stay healthy. The gym, which opened on December 8, 2021, is equipped with all required equipment for the general exercises.

Moreover , the council noted the difficulties faced in Neykurendhoo due to the lack of a special trainer, therefore even if the people used gyms, the benefits of exercising could not be achieved in the best possible way due to the lack of a trainer.

Furthermore, Neykurendhoo Council thanked President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed Mahloof for their efforts in developing the gym. They also thanked MP Mohamed Raaee and all the staff of the council who worked with the council for their efforts to develop the island.
