90% of R. Maduvvari Harbour development completed: MTCC

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 90% of the Maduvvari harbour has been completed. 

Under the project to develop Maduvvari Harbour, the company has to dredge 80400 cubic meter of harbour, dredging of 65520 cubic meter of new harbour basin, 7280 of new entrance channel dredging, construction of a 582 meter quay wall, a 411 meter breakwater, and revetment. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and installation of a paved area will also be undertaken.

The project is worth MVR 72.6 million. 

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbors.
