Ice plant to be established in Kulhudhuffushi City

Mayor of Kulhudhuffushi City Mohamed Athif has revealed that efforts are underway to establish an ice plant in the city.

Athif made the statement while speaking at a banquet organized by Kulhudhuffushi City Council to mark this year’s Fishermen’s Day.

Moreover, Athif stated that the ice plant will be established in collaboration with Fenaka Corporation and City Council. a 50-tonne ice plant will be established in the city next year with a storage capacity of 100 tonnes. And Fenaka has assured that the construction of the ice plant will begin in the first quarter of next year.

Furthermore, Mayor Athif noted that the ice plant would be the best ice plant to be established in a northern island. The Mayor thanked North Kulhudhuffushi constituency MP Yasir Abdul Latheef and Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation Ahmed Saeed for their support and assistance in carrying out the project.

In addition, Kulhudhuffushi City Council thanked HDh. Atoll Council for their support and assistance in arranging the banquet for fishermen of the island.
