Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 70% of Gn. Fuvahmulah Road Development Project has been completed.
MTCC also updated on the ongoing work stating that construction of internal roads for Gn. Fuvahmulah is well underway, and they have commenced installation of storm water drainage systems.
Under the project, sub base preparation will be carried out in an area of 122,659 square meters, 95,239 square meters roads will be constructed with asphalt and an area of 27,450 square meters of pavement will be developed. Moreover, work will also be carried out to install road signs, install street lights and establish a water drainage system in an area of 19,940 meters.
The project is worth MVR 271.3 million.
MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbors.
