Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has signed a MOU with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment to train 29 individuals in the workplace.

At a ceremony held at WAMCO on December 8, 2021, the agreement was signed by Managing Director Adam Mohamed. State Minister Hussain Ismail signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry of Youth.

The agreement was signed under the National Apprenticeship program run by the Ministry of Youth, to train Maldivian youth in various fields. Under the agreement, 29 youth will be trained for six months.

Moreover, participants will receive an allowance during the duration of the training period. Also, Job opportunities will be created for those who complete the training program.
