Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has commenced the construction of a water supply system in Feevah.
The project was inaugurated by Managing Director of MWSC Hassan Shah, President of Haa Alif Atoll Council Moosa Shafeeq, Kanditheemu constituency MP Abdulla Shaheen Abdul Hakeem, Ihavandhoo constituency MP Mohamed Shifaau, Milandhoo constituency MP Ali Riza, and President of Feevah council Ali Rasheed Hassan at a ceremony held in Feevah on December 4, 2021.
Under the project, work is underway to lay the pipeline required to establish a water system and construction of the water plant building.
Moreover, as part of the project, a main network of 9.18 kilometers of water pipeline will be established in Hirimaradhoo, a RO facility building will be constructed and two RO plants will be installed to produce water, and construction of three tanks for water storage. And water meter installation and water connection will be provided to all households.
MWSC will also provide generator sets, vehicles and water analysis equipment to maintain the island’s water supply system.
The project is worth MVR 49.60 million.
