Club Polestar has opened the opportunity to all islands of Haa Alifu and Haa Dhaalu Atolls to participate in the football tournament “Ihavan Cup” organized by Polestar.
The “Ihavan Cup Football Tournament 2021” is open for all youth of Ihavandhoo. And Government institutions, all NGOs, Companies, and Resorts from Ha. and HDh Atoll, except Ihavandhoo. No club, organization, government institution or company in Ihavandhoo will be able to participate in the competition.
The deadline for submitting applications for the competition is December 15, 2021. And competition is scheduled to start on December 24, 2021. Moreover, applications for the competition will be accepted with a fee of MVR 2,000, while application forms and rules for the competition will be available from the Club Pollstar’s Office and the Jamiyya’s Facebook page.
According to Club Polestar, the purpose of the competition is to strengthen the friendship between Government institutes, NGOs, Resorts, and Companies of Ha. and HDh. Atoll. Furthermore, this is the most expensive football competition to be held in Ha. and HDh. Atolls. The winning team will be awarded MVR 50,000 while the runner-up team will be awarded MVR 25,000.
This is the second time the Ihavan Cup is organized by Club Polestar. Club Polestar has been registered since 1999 and has been working for the development of Ihavandhoo.
