The Ministry of Health has contracted the Extension building of Sh. Atoll Hospital to Kurinozo Group Private Limited.
According to the Health Ministry, upon completion of the extension building, Sh. Atoll Hospital will establish dialysis services, additional OPD rooms, a public health unit and a hall for health education.
Recently Sh. Atoll Hospital has been introducing several specialist consultations and has been conducting several successful surgeries. Moreover, Hospital has completed more than 100 surgeries within the last year compared to 10 surgeries in the previous three years.
Furthermore, the government also noted that CTS, thyroid surgery and neck surgeries are being successfully carried out at the hospital. Also, the hospital has successfully completed a major gynecology surgery twice. While infertility treatment is being provided at Sh. Atoll Hospital, the laboratory of the hospital is also conducting hormonal and vitamin D investigations.
In addition, Northern Zone 1 COVID-19 Management Centre has also been established at the hospital.
