State Trading Organization (STO) has introduced KONE elevators and Air Purifiers to Maldivian market.
According to STO, the newly introduced model COP (Lift Push Buttons) is designed in a way when the hand is placed near the button of the desired floor, without even touching the buttons.
Moreover, company stated that this is one of the most innovative products introduced by STO to the maldivian construction industry.
This is an important innovation when we look at the current situation in the world regarding Covid-19 pandemic. It reduces transmission of viruses and it ensures the safety of lift users if those who reach the lift do not touch the buttons, STO stated.
STO has also introduced KONE air purifiers which are installed in the lift to suit the current pandemic. The purpose of the air purifier is to clear the air in the lift. Therefore, the air purifier eliminates bacteria, virus, dust and odor in the elevators. It uses Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) by NASA for reducing contaminants from Spacecraft Cabins.
In addition, STO stated that the first KONE Touchless COP and KONE Air Purifier in the Maldives will be installed at STO Trade Center.
