Along with name boards on the streets of Utheemu, a board containing information on the island has been installed in the harbour area by local NGO Wingers.
According to Wingers, the purpose of the board is to assist visitors locating places of the Island. The board includes location of Government Institutes, Cafe/Restaurants, Businesses, and location of Historic places. Moreover, using the QR code in the board, visitors can get the contact information of the places marked in the map and delivery services from Cafe/Restaurants will be available via the QR code.
Furthermore, Wingers thanked Novexa Maldives and Constituency MP for the financial support. And they appreciated assistance received from the public to complete the project. In addition, the council thanked Wingers for successfully completing the project.
Winger have been actively involved in social and urban development activities of the Island during the small time frame after their registration and several works are planned for upcoming year.
