Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 70% of Nellaidhoo Ferry stop concrete work has been completed. 

The company has also updated about the ongoing work stating that currently the column and masonry works are underway.

Nellaidhoo Ferry stop is built under phase one of the Integrated Public Ferry Network Project in Zone 01. The goal of this project is to build a high-speed ferry network to connect islands and atolls of the Maldives. 

Moreover, the integrated national public ferry network is a project that will provide reliable, efficient, inexpensive, convenient, and long-term passenger ferry services to all of the country’s administrative islands. 

In addition, ferry’s which will be used in the ferry network are currently being built, and the first ferry is completed and currently being tested.
