Kulhudhuffushi City Council became the first council to implement Microsoft Office 365

Under the Government’s Digital Transformation policy, Kulhudhuffushi city council became the first council to implement Microsoft Office 365.

Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology signed an agreement with Microsoft back in July 2021 to implement the Office 365 service in the public sector to enhance the operations of the public sector.

In the ceremony held to implement Microsoft Office 365, the Ministry appreciated the cooperation they got from the Kulhudhuffushi Mayor and council members. 

Moreover, at the ceremony, state minister Mohamed Shareef met with the council to explore ways to improve the council’s operations. They also discussed ideas to transform Kulhudhuffushi into a smart city.

According to the government, Microsoft 365 will be adopted initially in city councils, atoll councils, and island councils. Subsequently, the government institutes and independent organization.
