Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 90% of the Fehendhoo harbour has been completed.

The company has also updated about the ongoing work stating that the construction of Harbour Bridge is currently underway, and it is 91% completed.

Under the project to develop Fehendhoo’s Harbour, Company has to dredge 18500cbm of new harbour basin; 25000cbm of new entrance channel dredging; construction of a 214m quay wall; a 130m breakwater; and a 282m revetment. In addition, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and installation of 558sqm of paved area will also be undertaken.

The project has been contracted to MTCC under Work on Design and Build basis by Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure with a budget of MVR 45.1 million.
