Kulhudhuffushi city council has unveiled their  logo and color of the council on their 4th council’s 12thannual general meeting.

Kulhudhuffushi city council has shared information about this meeting with thiladhun news, stating that they introduced the council’s  logo and color. Also informed that the official color of the council will be gold and navy blue.

According to the council, the logo portrays the ancient Kulhudhuffushi people, who were well-known sailors and made their living primarily from the sailing business.

Additionally, council has highlighted about the logo that, sea transportation is Kulhdhuffushi’s primary source of revenue, and they are well-known across the Maldives.

As stated by the council, the logo also depicts the historic “Uthuru Arumaaz” voyage, which was the first political event in Maldives history, in which the Kulhudhuffushi people traveled to Male’ in alliance with other northern island communities to address their concerns to the central government.

Moreover council has highlighted that the circle in the logo depicts coir rope, which reflects the hard work performed by the Kulhudhuffushi ladies.

Kulhudhuffushi is the most popular island for coir rope manufacturing, and the ladies of Kulhudhuffushi are the most skilled weavers.
