Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH) has introduced neurodiagnostic services. Neurodiagnostic services are combination of procedures used to aid in diagnosis of medical disease conditions. This service was not provided in KRH before.
KRH has made a tweet stating the introduction of neurodiagnostic services and availability of many nerve testing. The tests include Digital Electroencephalogram (EEG), Nerve conduction studies, Reflex studies, Repetitive Nerve Stimulation (RNS) and Sympathetic Skin Response(SSR) test.
KRH has also published a short video showing the service as well. All the age groups are eligible to do the tests and there is no harm in these tests. Nerve and Reflex studies helps to understand any abnormalities in the sensory nerves connected to the brain.
