H.Dh Nolhivaranfaru has officially banned planting trees in coastal forests and roads without a permit.
Nolhivaranfaru Council has stated that it has come to their attention that burning and cutting down of trees in the coastal forest has resulted in a negative impact on the environment. The trees are being planted in roads and coastal forests in a way which disturbs the public.
Due to these causes, cutting down trees and planting trees in coastal areas and roads have been banned. Actions will be taken for individuals who act against this regulation under the law ‘Environmental Damage Liability Regulation’ (no. 2011/R-9).
