The President’s Office has publicized that the National Committee of Awards will be accepting nominations for the National Award for Public Service from Sunday, May 30th till Thursday, August 5th.
The newly introduced award is given for those who have been in over 35 years of service for the nation. Awards Committee will consider the quality of the work and the achievements in the specific fields of the nominee. The award is to recognize and appreciate the individuals who have contributed significantly to the public sector. Thanking them for the years of service and commitment for the nation.
To qualify for the National Award for Public Service, an individual must be in service or have been in service for a government company or government majority shareholder company. The individual must not be found guilty of a crime and must be paying debts with consistency.
As said by the President’s office, the awards will be given in the official ceremony held in celebration of Republic Day.
