Hussain Niyaaz has been temporarily appointed as the chief commercial officer (CCO) of Ooredoo Maldives.
Niyaaz has been in service of Ooredoo for 16 consecutive years. From 2005 onwards, back when Ooredoo was Wataniya Telecom Maldives. Throughout his time in Ooredoo he has served in high ranks. One noticeable position, would be as acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the previous year.
Ooredoo states that they have the highest priority to give various opportunities to Maldivians including roles of leadership. Therefore, appointment of a Maldivian for the position of chief commercial officer a great accomplishment.
Managing director and chief financial officer of Ooredoo Maldives, Najib Khan, has offered their congratulations to Niyaaz on his promotion to CCO.
“Niyaaz joined us 16 years ago and even helped us in the beginning stages of deploying our network, we are thankful for all the work you have put in for the development of Ooredoo.” Said Najib.
