Ihavandhoo Masveringe Gulhun (IMAGU) has announced that they will be organizing a free firefighting course for the people and fishermen of Ihavandhoo. The course will be taught with the help of Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) instructors.

Saudhullah Ahmed, Media coordinator of IMAGU has said that the starting date of the course is yet to be decided, and is dependent on support received by the people towards this program.
“Even if rarely, fire related incidents do happen on fishing boats and it is important for the fishermen to be ready for such incidents. I also do find it important for the public to be ready for fire related incidents. Therefore, the course is free for all.” Said Saudhullah Ahmed.
IMAGU has become a very active organization, contributing greatly to the community. They have been organizing similar programs frequently and helping out the community by doing so.
