H.dh Kumundhoo council, in collaboration with Beach City Sports Club (BCSC) started a futsal challenge named as “BCSC office futsal challenge 2021 ” on 20th of this month.
The futsal challenge was opened for all the government offices in Kumundhoo. All the offices took part in the challenge and initially MP Mr. Mohammed Raaee was assigned to be the chief guest of the opening ceremony. Since he was unable to attend the ceremony, Kumundhoo School’s Islam teacher, Mr. Ali Gasim inaugurated the futsal challenge.
In the very first match, Kumundhoo council played against MWSC. MWSC won the match with the score of 2-1. The best player of the match was jersey number 7 Fahmaan Abdul Hameed from MWSC team. The second match was in the evening and Kumundhoo school played against FENAKA. With a score of 2-4, the match was won by team FENAKA and the best player was from FENAKA team jersey number 11, Shinan Ibrahim.
On 21st, Friday also two matches are to be played. Kumundhoo Health center versus Kumundhoo Council in the first match while FENAKA versus MWSC in the second match.
Even though MP Raaee was unable to attend the opening ceremony due the strict measurements to control spread of covid-19, he conveyed a message to Kumundhoo Council, BCSC and all the teams. He apologized for not being able to present as well as thanked all the organizers for well arrangement of the event. Moreover, he advised all the parties to follow rules and regulations. Also, to be friendly through out the event and conclude it smoothly, giving an example to others.
The main sponsor of this futsal challenge is Direct Logistic services, a sponsor for most of the futsal challenges in the country since the year 2012. The co-sponsor is Best Buddy and FENAKA and drinking partner is Lotus Fihaara. Media partner of the challenge is Thiladhun Online News while MWSC is also a sponsor.
