Holy Quran Competition Organized in HA Ihavandhoo

In an effort to encourage our students to recite the Holy Quran, Polestar Club of HA. Ihavandhoo has organized its 19th annual Quran Recitation Competition, and is open for registration.

The aim for holding the competition is to increase the love of Quran among the island’s populace, to promote literacy in the Qur’an and encourage recitation with proper Tajweed, and also to create competitiveness and prepare students for the national level Quran competitions.

The competition is divided into two categories. A special category and a public category. The special category is for children under 7 years while the public category is for all ages.
The deadline for registration is tomorrow.

The club has also conducted a special futsal tournament targeted for the island’s fishermen this Ramadan.
