Inclusive Education Support Units Established in Afeefuddin School

The newly established Inclusive Education Support Units in Afeefuddin School in Kuldhuffushi City and Haafiz Ahmed School in Fuvamulah has been inaugurated.

A special virtual ceremony was held today to commemorate the inauguration of the establishment of the units, and was attended by the Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid, Minster of Education Dr Aishath Ali, the Indian Ambassador to the Maldives, Sanjey Sudhir and the MPs of Kulhudhuffushi and Fuvamulah constituency well.

Providing adequate resources to the hundreds of students in need of inclusive education has always been a challenge. The project was carried out under the India Grant Assistance Scheme. In addition to the establishment of the units, projected included the training of the employees of the units, special training programs were conducted to educate the employees if the unit, and further materials were provided to operate the unit as well.
