Ha Ihavandhoo Council has declared that during Ramadan, they will provide free waste disposal services to residents.

According to the Ihavandhoo Council, the charges for waste disposal service that were previously charged will not be charged during Ramadan.

The council has stated that unregistered households will be given the opportunity to register before the deadline of March20, 2021.

According to the Ihavandhoo council, waste disposal services started in February. The council has employed five island residents to work in the waste disposal service.

According to the island council, 115 households have registered up for theĀ  service, for which a fee of 150rf will be charged.
