A quran and islamic center to be opened at Kelaa

Ha. Kelaa is reportedly to open an islamic and quran center on the island.

A ceremony held yesterday, laid the foundation for this institute. The foundation was laid and the inauguration ceremony was chief guested by the member for the island Ibrahim Shareef (Kelaa Ibrey) and the Managing Director of Fenaka Cooperation Ahmed Saeed and Baarashu island’s member Ahmed Abdullah along with Ihavandhoo island’s member Mohamed Shifau.

The institute is to be built with the well wishes and support of the island’s member Ibrahim Shareef. Further when asked about the newly designed institute for quran and islam, Kelaa Ibrey stated that the island is always filled with people who love education and who love learning. After the building of this institute and bringing more and more people with islamic knowledge would always bring a good name to the island, he added.

Ibrey stated that he is hoping to the start the work of the building as soon as possible and to also make the council as the governing body. But he also added that he hasnt decided on the decision yet.
