Sh. Funadhoo’s farmers are showing an example out of them by showing that they can be really good their work, says the council of the island.
Funadhoo council has leased their land for the island’s farmers to farm even after the start of the global pandemic.
After upon asking a question by “Thiladhun” to the island’s council, they gave the information saying that the island kickstarted the farming for the first time in history. But the brave farmers has also shown that they can continue to work in a such a manner that they could produce a good amount of goods from farming as well.
“Before this island was not into farming. But now since everyone needs an extra income, we provided the islander’s with space for the land. We do check the progress of the farms everyday. We have seen an immense progress in them” the council stated.
He also mentioned that the council will be working to make things very easy for the farmers and to provide them with every help they need as well. And their main dream is to see the picture of Funadhoo being an exceptional island for farming as well.
The land from the island given for the farmers are for free. This way, the islanders could get the maximum profit out of the work they put in as well. The island has provided 33 land of 2000 acre-foot for interested parties.
