Ha. Ihavandhoo’s club, United Youth has decided to join the nation wide campaign “Geveshi Gulhun” which strongly condemns domestic violence.
The club has eagerly decided to join the campaing “Geveshi Gulhun” initiated by the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services.
The club announced the following in a statement written in their official Facebook page. Moreover, in order to stand in solidarity with the movement, the club has also decided to use the “Geveshi Gulhun” logo in the jersey that they will be using in the Ihavan Cup 2020 as well.
Upon asking a question by the news, an official from the club has also stated that, domestic violence is something which we face in our society and needs to be stopped. In order to do so, every single person has to stand up for it, in his opinion.
In order to participate in this campaign, the government has also decided to use the logo in government letter heads, as well as notes.
Ihavandhoo’s United Youth is a club which shows an example to the whole island and they have been participating in a lot of youth activities held in the island and outside.
