Fenaka has reportedly started their work to develop 4 more power houses on different islands.
The four islands that Fenaka is to develop the power houses are, GDh. Rathafandhoo, GDh. Thinadhoo, Gdh. Gahdhoo, Ga. Kolamaafushi.
The inauguration ceremony held in Gdh. Rathafandhoo was inaugurated by the Managing Director of Fenaka, Mr. Ahmed Saeed and the council members of the islands. The practical work of the power house is to be started within 2 days of time and to be finished within 9 months of time as well.
The ceremony held in Gdh. Thinadhoo was also inaugurated by the Fenaka Managing Director, Mr. Ahmed Saeed and the MP of southern Thinadhoo Mr. Abdullah Saneef and the Northern side MP Abdul Mughunee. The exisiting power house in Thinadhoo was badly affected by the fire that happened in 2016 as well.
In Ga. Kolamaafushi, the office area that are to be developed by Fenaka was also inaugurated by the Managing Director Ahmed Saeed along with Council’s president and members. The work was contracted to be finished within 250 days.
Gdh. Gahdhoo’s power house is also to be re constructed and the ceremony to start the work was chaired by the MD of Fenaka. The ceremony was also held with the islands MP, Ahmed Zahir as well.
