The newly developed bus stop by the biggest electricity provider in the Maldives, State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has been opened today.

The bus stop was opened by the vice president Mr. Faisal Naseem.

After opening the bus stop and talking on the ceremony, Vice president Faisal Naseem stated that, doing such a community work by STELCO makes him happy and he thanked STELCO for doing such a thing for the community. Moreover, these kind of services are what the government is trying to convey to the people as well, he added.

” What the government is trying to do is to give safe services to the people. This bus stop also provides a safe service to the people and also the park that was opened a few days before is also a place where people could go to feel the peace and tranquility”

He also said that the capital of Male’ is also facing a lot of space issues in regard to the roads. And the government has been working non stop to address these issues as well. And he also added to look out for electricity and specially during this time to always not to waste it.

CEO of STELCO Hassan Mughnee stated that these kind of works are done to make things easier to community and to help the government to excel as well.

This bus stop comes with USB charging points as well. The information of the bus will also be displayed and in the near future, a bus tracking system will also be implemented in here as well.

During the opening of this bus stop, a lot of STELCO staffs along with higher authoritative people from the government also participated in the event.
