Female parents of Ha. Atoll Education Centre (AEC) has showed the love they have towards education by lifting more than 14000 stones to build the schools walkway.
Yesterday morning, the parents brought the bricks that are needed for the walkway into the school with the help of pickups to move.
Apart from the moving of these bricks, teachers and other school staffs of Ha.Dhidhoo school participated in helping the parents. The majority of the work was done by the female parents of the school.
The bricks were located in a certain site, and the parents loaded the bricks into pickups first. Then it was brought to the school and the pickups were un loaded. During the whole course of event, the female parents were leading by example. Total of 135 people participated in helping while 80 of them were parents.
One of the leading teacher of the event, Mr. Mohamed Shareef told us that the work was started at early morning 6:30. After working tirelessly, the work was done around 10:30.
Shareef also stated that the total amount of bricks would exceed 14,000 and this is just a portion of the total bricks.
He also added that the work would not have been done if not for the parents, and the schools real heroes are them.
