On Saturday, Ministry of Finance announced that government is looking for a contractor to build a Tertiary Hospital at Kulhudhuffushi City on behalf of Ministry of Health, under Contractor Finance. 

The invitation for bids by Ministry of Finance states that International competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with the Public Finance Regulation of Maldives to select the most formidable bidder among the eligible and qualified bids. 

Interested bidders are instructed to register with the Ministry of Finance for the project from 13th September 2020 to 21st October 2020, via payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 1,500 or USD 100, through the ministry’s online payment portal –Ban’deyri Pay (https://bandeyripay.finance.gov.mv/).

The Ministry also stated that bidders should furnish a Bid Security of MVR 2,300,000 for each of the lot. The Bid security is considered valid for 148 days from the date of bid opening.

Bid opening will commence on Thursday, 22nd October 2020, at 1000 hrs, in Ministry of Finance’s meeting hall for national tender. 

Kulhudhuffushi City Hospital is frequented by locals from the three most northern atolls. This project will ease the strain on the hospital and is estimated to improve the scope of delivering health services to the public up a notch.
