“Thiladhekunu Malas” Begins at 10 Different Schools of the Atoll

A course to teach the basic ropes of Dhivehi poetry writing begins at 10 different schools of H.Dh atoll. 

An initiative of H.Dh. Hanimadhoo School, the course is run with the support of 10 schools from the atoll, along with Easa Online Poetry (EOP). The focal point of the course is students of grade 10 and above. 

“Thiladhekunu Malas” commenced on August 18, 2020, with the total duration of the course being 15 hours. A total of 170 students from all over the atoll took part in the course, namely, students from Hanimadhoo, Kumundhoo, Makunudhoo, Kurinbee, Nolhivaram, Nolhivaranfaru, Nellaidhoo, Naivaidhoo, Hirimaradhoo, and Finey. 

In addition to students, teachers of Dhivehi subject participated in the course as well. “Thiladhekunu Malas” was held via Zoom. 

The lectures of the course are delivered by renown poet and seasoned director, Easa Shareef.
