Maaldif Group, under the helm of Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, has launched a brand new website, “Maaldif.com” in Arabic, to promote Maldives as a destination to the Arabian market.

With the primary objective of promoting Maldives as a tourist destination in the Arab world specifically focusing tourists from the middle east, the website is slated to be launched virtually this Wednesday.

Dr. Shaheem is a former Islamic Minister of the Maldives, running mate to then incumbent president Abdulla Yameen in the 2018 presidential race and the current advisor to the Secretory General of OIC. Speaking about the motives for launching this project he argued that there is only very limited information available to potential Arabian speaking tourists. He hopes that with Arabic being the fourth most spoken language in the world, increasing access and availability of access to information in Arabic regarding the Maldives would increase popularity of the country in the region.

Maaldif Group also revealed that promotional services would be available for atoll and island councils as well, to promote their islands and atolls to the Arabian market through their marketing channels.
