Opening of new police station building in Hoarafushi

Home Minister Imran Abdulla opens the new premise of the hoarafushi police station. In the opening ceremony Minister Imran and Police commissioner Mohamed Hameed hoisted the Maldives national flag and the Maldives police flag.

Minister Imran spoke at this ceremony described the opening of the new premise as a gift to the Hoarafushi locals. He also said this is an island-filled gift of peace and harmony.

Police commissioner Mohamed Hameed also spoke about Maldives Police Service’s five year strategic plan during the ceremony. He said the goal is to make the local police powerful in providing the best service to the locals where the police are located.

PG Bisham also attended the ceremony. As well as the president of H.A Atoll council Abdulla Hussain, the president of the Hoarafushi council Mohamed Waheed and members of the Hoarafushi council.
