HDh. Hanimaadhoo Council has decided to start teaching in the council’s Quran Class in the island next week.
According to Hanimaadhoo Council they have signed the agreement with Aminath Hussain (Gulhazaaruge/HDh. Nolhivaram) to conduct the Quran classes.
In October, Hanimaadhoo council opened application for those interested in participating the Quran classes and 91 students participated in the classes.
Speaking regarding the preparations for the commencement of the Quran classes, Vice President of Hanimaadhoo Council, Firaq Mohamed stated that all preparations are underway to start classes next week and they hope that an information session will be held with all the students with their parents who have submitted application forms, before they begin the classes.
Moreover, the council stated that Quran classes will be held for students of both genders in the age group of 4 to 17 years. And the monthly fee for the classes will be MVR 200 per student.
Furthermore, this is a two years project by Hanimaadhoo Council to be held at a cost of MVR 552,000.
The objectives of conducting this class are to improve the knowledge of Quran among the students of Hanimaadhoo School and inculcate a love for the Quran in their minds.
