
“This afternoon, the residents came out and cleaned the area where the Islamic Center is located, and the garden plants have also been planted now. The arrangements for the big feast to be held tomorrow will also proceed,” he said.
He stated that the establishment of a mosque, an Islamic library, and a branch of the Holy Quran Center within the Islamic Center being built on the island would significantly strengthen the provision of Islamic affairs and education. He further added that with a multipurpose hall, five classrooms, a seminar room, and an office building, it represents a tremendous opportunity for delivering religious education and services.
Abdul Latheef Mohamed (Latheebey), the Member for Dhidhdhoo constituency, described it as a valuable gift presented by the current government to the people of Dhidhdhoo.
“There is no religion more valuable than Islam, nor will there ever be. This is a precious gift from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s government to the beloved people of Dhidhdhoo,” Latheef stated.
The Islamic Center established in Dhidhdhoo will be inaugurated tomorrow by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed. Shaheem will also lead the Friday prayer at the Islamic Center.
The Islamic Center established in Dhidhdhoo has been named after Shaheed Umar Ahmed from that island, who was martyred on November 3rd while serving as an employee of the Islamic Center in Malé.
