Street lights installed in most of the streets of Kulhudhuffushi City

Street lights have been installed in most of the streets of Kulhudhuffushi City.

As part of the project to install street lights in the city, more than 200 lights have been installed on streets previously does not have lights and some newly developed roads in the city.

Kulhudhuffushi City Council awarded MVR 2,853,954.00 project to Anbalan Construction Private Limited on September 24, 2023, to be completed within 115 days.

In a Facebook post, Kulhudhuffushi City Mayor Mohamed Athif stated that one of the major decisions taken two years ago was to make efforts to streamline and clean the island’s land and reduce the burden on people to move around in the city. He further stated that it was a matter of satisfaction that on the request of many of them, the both sides of island was connected to the airport by constructing and installing street lights on the road developed near the airport fence and the north west of ‘bodavaki falu’.
