Fenaka Corporation has held the graduation of the first batch of Level 3 Engine Repair and Maintenance courses conducted under the apprenticeship program of the Fenaka Institute for Training and Research.

A total of 23 participants graduated from the program. The certificates were presented to the graduates by Minister of Higher Education Ibrahim Hassan, Chairman of Fenaka Board Mohamed Rasheed and Managing Director of Fenaka Ahmed Saeed Mohamed.

Fenaka Corporation stated that the work initiated by Fenaka Institute is to build trained personnel for the powerhouses of the islands. Moreover, the Funaru program conducted by the institute is a three-month program to develop professionals in the three basic services sectors provided by the company and to train Maldivians for technical jobs, according to the company.

Fenaka has provided a monthly allowance of MVR 3,000 to each participant during the program. Two women were among those who graduated from the course.

Participants of the course were taught theory and practical during the program, therefore they will be having experience in describing parts of the diesel powerhouse and carrying out maintenance of diesel generators.
