Saniya Mohamedbe from Vaikaradhoo, who was receiving treatment after falling ill while on Umrah, has passed away.

Mohamed Hassan (Saniya Mohamedbe from Vaikaradhoo, 86 years old), who fell ill and was undergoing treatment while on Umrah this January, has passed away.

Saniya Mohamedbe, who traveled for Umrah under the care of Qibla Hajj Group, passed away last night at a hospital in Mecca. The funeral prayer is scheduled to be held at Masjid al-Haram following the Maghrib prayer today.

Two days ago, one of his children stated in a social media post that their father was being treated on a ventilator.

Three people from the Maldives who went for Umrah during this holiday period have passed away. They include a 62-year-old man who traveled with Al-Manasik, and two men who traveled with Safa Group and Hijaz Group.

Additionally, another individual who fell ill while on Umrah during this holiday was brought back to Male’ and treated at IGMH.
