Kanditheemu has once again secured the Shaviyani Atoll championship in the Hyundai Golden Futsal Challenge 2024.
In yesterday’s thrilling final match against Foakaidhoo, Kanditheemu lifted the trophy after a dominant performance. With last night’s victory, the team has now claimed the atoll title a total of six times.
Kanditheemu triumphed over Foakaidhoo in the final with a significant 5-0 scoreline. The standout performer of the match was Kanditheemu’s Raul Niyaz, who completed a hat-trick. The remaining two goals for Kanditheemu were scored by the team’s captain, Ibrahim Nadhaadh.
Due to his exceptional performance throughout the tournament, Raul was awarded both the Sh. Atoll Most Valuable Player and the Top Scorer titles. Raul has scored a total of 11 goals so far, currently holding the position of the overall top scorer of the entire tournament.
Having secured the Sh. Atoll championship, Kanditheemu will now progress to compete in the Zone Round of the tournament.
In other results from the competition, Maarandhoo lifted the trophy for the first time as the Ha. Atoll champions, while Naivaadhoo secured the Hdh. Atoll title for the eighth time.
