Kulhudhuffushi City Council Sets MD Salary for Local Authority Company and Makes Further Decisions

The City Council has decided to determine and announce the salary and benefits for the position of Managing Director (MD) of the Kulhudhuffushi City Council Local Authority Company, in order to recruit a suitable candidate for the post.

This decision was made during the 234th general meeting of the Council’s fourth term.

Kulhudhuffushi City Council stated today that the total amount allocated for the salary and benefits for this position is MVR 35,000. The Council has now begun the process of advertising the position to find a suitable candidate.

Furthermore, during the Council’s 234th general meeting held on December 3, 2025, another important decision was made regarding the cleaning and maintenance of key areas of the city.

Accordingly, it was decided that the cleaning and maintenance work for Kulhudhuffushi North Harbor, Bodumuhammaadukaleygefaanu Harbor, the Fish Market, the boat-hauling area, and the travel shelter (Dhuruthu Hiyaa) will be carried out through a bidding process.
