The foundation stone for the five-storey new building of HA. Atoll Hospital was laid today. The foundation stone for the hospital, located in Dhidhdhoo, the capital of HA. Atoll, was laid this afternoon at a ceremony by the Minister of Health, Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim; the Member of Parliament for Dhidhdhoo constituency, Abdul Latheef Mohamed (Latheebey); the CEO of MTCC, Ahmed Saudhee; and the President of Dhidhdhoo Council, Abdulla Rasheed. The five-storey new building of HA. Atoll Hospital will have a capacity of fifty beds. HA. Atoll Hospital stated that the building will house many services upon completion, including: Isolation Facility Radiology Department X-ray services CT Scan services MRI services Mammography services Ultrasound Scan services Furthermore, HA. Atoll Hospital stated that the project for this building will also include the establishment of a Waste Management Center, an Industrial Laundry, and an Oxygen Plant.
