The Secretariat of the Thiladhunmathi Dhekunuburi Vaikaradhoo Council has announced that the provisional registries and allocation letters for 105 newly allocated state-owned residential plots (Bandhaaraa Gothi) will be handed over during a ceremony scheduled for next Friday.
According to the Council, the handover event will take place on Friday night, November 21, 2025, at 20:30, at Sulaimaniyya Hall. All individuals listed as recipients have been invited to attend the ceremony to receive their plot allocation letters and provisional registries.
The Council has also made arrangements for those unable to attend the ceremony in person. Recipients may appoint a representative to collect the documents on their behalf. However, the Council must be notified before 20:00 on Thursday, November 20, 2025, with confirmation that a Power of Attorney has been issued to the representative. The required form can be submitted through the link: https://www.vaikaradhoo.gov.mv/power_of_attorney.
Applications for these plots were reopened on January 24, 2024 following amendments to the regulations governing the allocation of state-owned land in Vaikaradhoo. Although 107 plots were initially announced for allocation during this round, provisional registries are currently being issued for 105 plots.
The plots include 42 located in the western allocation zone and 65 in the eastern zone of the island. Each plot ranges in size between 2,500 and 3,000 square feet.
