Sh. Funadhoo Council has requested President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to carry out an expansion project of Funadhoo Airport.
Funadhoo Council made the request at a meeting held with President Muizzu during his visit to Funadhoo as part of his ongoing visit to several island’s of Bodu Thiladhunmathi.
Requests from Funadhoo Council to the President:
- Expansion of Airport Runway
- Development of a Youth Centre
- Development of an Islamic Centre
- As promised by the President, eco-tourism to be established in ‘Farukolhu’ which is located in same lagoon as Funadhoo
Moreover, during the meeting, President Muizzu stated that the government will look into the issues raised by the council and will work towards achieving it.
