Maarandhoo, Utheemu, Dhidhdhoo, and Baarah have reached the semifinal of Sonee Sports Golden Futsal Challenge 2024, Haa Alifu Atoll Round.
In the quarterfinal match between Utheemu and Ihavandhoo, Utheemu won the match 5-2. Ahmed Aiham from Utheemu was selected as the best player of the match.
Maarandhoo won the quarterfinal match against Hoarafushi 6-3 after penalties as the match ended in a 2-2 draw in regular time. Hamdhoon Abdul Latheef from Maarandhoo was selected as the best player of the match.
Dhidhdhoo won the quarterfinal match against Filladhoo 8-7 after penalties as the match ended in a 3-3 draw in regular time. Mohamed Vishaahu from Dhidhdhoo was selected as the best player of the match.
Baarah won the quarterfinal match against Vashafaru 8-7 after penalties as the match ended goalless in regular time. Ali Faruhan from Baarah was selected as the best player of the match.
Semifinal matches between Maarandhoo and Utheemu and match between Dhidhdhoo and Baarah is scheduled to be played at Rehendhi Futsal Grounds in Hulhumale’ on January 31 at 20:00 hrs.
A total of 12 islands from Haa Alifu Atoll are competing in this year’s tournament. The champions of the atoll round will be decided after the final match played between winners of two semifinal matches.
