Hanimaadhoo, Makunudhoo, Nolhivaranfaru, Naivaadhoo and Nellaidhoo won their first match played at Haa Dhaalu Atoll Round of Sonee Sports Golden Futsal Challenge 2024.
Hanimaadhoo won the match against Finey easily with 4-0. Aboo Bakuru Siddeeq, Huzam Abdul Raheem, Naufal Abdul Rauoof and Alif Ibrahim scored the goals for Hanimaadhoo. Alif from Hanimaadhoo was selected as the best player of the match.
Vaikaradhoo won the match against Makunudhoo 3-2. Makunudhoo’s Zidhan Ahmed scored two goals in the match. Ibrahim Savee scored the winning goal of the match. Ibrahim Ageel scored two goals for Vaikaradhoo. Ibrahim Savee of Makunudhoo was selected as the best player of the match.
Nolhivaranfaru won the match against Kulhudhuffushi by a huge margin of 6-1. Ibrahim Waheed of Nolhivaranfaru scored a hat-trick in the match. Naiz Hassan, who was selected as the best player of the match, scored two goals and Ali Hussain scored a goal. The only goal for Kulhudhuffushi was scored by Aswad Rasheed.
Naivaadhoo, the defending champions of Haa Dhaalu Atoll, defeated Neykurendhoo 3-2. Naivaadhoo’s Abdulla Shafiu scored two goals in the match. Mohamed Shaain scored the other goal. Mohamed Faruhaan and Mohamed Vilf scored the goals for Neykurendhoo. Abdulla Shafiu of Naivaadhoo was selected as the best player of the match.
Nellaidhoo won the match against Nolhivaram 2-1. Mohamed Farish and Hussain Haafiz were the other scorers for Nellaidhoo. Nolhivaram’s lone goal was scored by Yameen Mohamed. Haafiz of Nellaidhoo was selected as the best player of the match.
A total of 11 islands from Haa Dhaalu Atoll are competing in the tournament. Therefore, the atoll round is being held in four groups. The top eight teams from four groups will advance to the quarter-finals and champions of atoll round will be decided after the final match played between winners of two semifinal matches.
