Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that 75% of N. Manadhoo Harbour Channel Dredging and Breakwater Construction Project has been completed.

MTCC also updated on ongoing works stating that they have completed construction of a ramp and revetment and existing channel closing work is currently underway.

Under the project, company has to carryout  14,844 cubic meter harbour basin dredging and excavating operations, 15,822 cubic meter entrance channel dredging operations, construction of a 175 meter breakwater, a 188 meter revetment, construction of 4.5m wide x 244m long concrete bridge, a ramp, and installation of navigational aids.

The project is worth MVR 36.94 million.

MTCC has been undertaking many development projects throughout the country including building roads, airports, land reclamation, shore protection, and harbours.
