Mila Uthuru Futsal Tournament 2023 commenced

Mila Uthuru Futsal Tournament 2023 organized by the Shaviyani Atoll Council is has commenced yesterday.

The opening ceremony of the tournament was held at Maaungoodhoo yesterday evening. And Maldivian Football legend Ali Ashfaq is the chief guest of this year’s tournament. The closing ceremony of the tournament will be held in Goidhoo.

This year’s tournament is be played in Maaungoodhoo and Goidhoo. The Group A matches are played in Sh. Goidhoo. The teams in the group are Kanditheemu, Feevah, Noomara, Feydhoo, Billeffahi, Foakaidhoo and Goidhoo. The Group B matches are played in Sh. Maaungoodhoo. The teams in the group are Lhaimagu, Milandhoo, Komandoo, Funadhoo, Maroshi, Narudhoo and Maaungoodhoo.

In the first match of group A, Kanditheemu won the match against Feevah 5-1. Raul Niyaz from Kanditheemu was selected as the best player of the match. In the second match of group A, Noomaraa won the match against Feydhoo 3-0. Muaz Solih from Noomaraa was selected as the best player of the match. In the third match of group A, Goidhoo won the match against Billeffahi 3-0. Mohamed Ahusam from Goidhoo was selected as the best player of the match.

In the first match of Group B, Milandhoo won the match against Lhaimagu 7-0. Ahmed Saanee from Milandhoo was selected as the best player of the match. In the second match of Group B, Funadhoo won the match against Komandoo 3-0. Abdulla Zameen from Funadhoo was selected as the best player of the match. In the third match of Group B, Maungoodhoo won the match against Maroshi 5-2. Ismail Sinaan from Maungoodhoo was selected as the best player of the match.

This year’s tournament is the second edition of the tournament and last year Funadhoo was the champion of the tournament.
