Budget has been allocated for construction of a state house in Ha. Utheemu and Ha. Kelaa Harbour upgrading project.
Under the budget for the fiscal year 2024, MVR 8.6 billion has been proposed for the Public Sector Investment Projects (PSIP). And construction of a state house in Ha. Utheemu and Ha. Kelaa Harbour upgrading project from Haa Alifu Atoll has been proposed in the new budget.
In this regard, MVR 7,23,984 has been earmarked for the construction of a state house in Utheemu. Moreover, more than MVR 7 million has been allocated in the budget for PSIP projects at various stages in Utheemu.
Furthermore, MVR 12 million has been earmarked for the Kelaa Harbour upgrading project. And more than MVR 25 million has been earmarked for PSIP projects at various stages of implementation in Kelaa.
The Finance Ministry has submitted a budget of MVR 49.5 billion to the Parliament for the fiscal year 2024.
