STO Makita Junior Championship 2023 has begun in Kulhudhuffushi City.
Even though the events of the STO Makita Junior Championship began in yesterday’s morning, the postponed opening ceremony due to bad weather was held at yesterday night. Kulhudhuffushi City Mayor, Councilors and heads of Athletics Association participated in the event.
Moreover, before the beginning of the events, the flag hoisting ceremony and the tournament song were launched. The song was presented by renowned singers Shalabee and Ashra.
In this year’s Junior Championship a total of 1,124 athletes are competing from 35 schools of the country. They are 505 female athletes and 619 male athletes.
The Junior Championship will be held from October 15 to 20.
In addition, Athletics Association stated a special closing ceremony will also be held to conclude Junior Championship.
